WHOVA
B2B Forum SmartIndustry will be using Whova EMS as virtual platform. All sessions and panels will occur live, accessed through Whova. One of the main benefits of attending B2B Forums is the ability to interact and ask questions to presenters. For this reason, all sessions will involve interactivity, with live Q&A’s and live video and/or chat-based discussions.
Whova brings together all the content of the event in one location and allows you to interact with other attendees, ask questions, answer questions, or chat – with a host of other options for interaction. Please ensure you log-in to Whova before the conference to check you have full access and to build your personal agenda with the sessions you wish to attend.
It is recommended you use Chrome to access the web-app. However, some features of Whova are only available using the phone/tablet app and therefore we recommend you download the app. More information how to get access to Whova and to event see Tools.
INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SEARCH THE AGENDA AND BUILD YOUR PERSONAL AGENDA.
HOW TO NETWORK AT B2B Forum SmartIndustry ON WHOVA
When navigating the Agenda within Whova for B2BForum, make sure to note there are both Live Sessions, Panels, Round Table Events and Breakout Sessions.
- [Live Sessions and Panel] are the chaired, main conference session which you will join for the live presentation and to participate in the live Q&A. They will run ZOOM in Webinar mode where speakers appear as panel and attendees can interact with speakers either through texting in the Zoom Chat or in the Whova chat.
- [Breakout Sessions] will give you a chance to engage with attendees on specific topics. They will run ZOOM in Meeting mode and it is preferable that attendees have a working camera and microphone to interact with each other. We have created in total 6 different topical rooms, e.g. Machine Learning, 5G/IoT, Cloud/Edge, Smart Steel, Smart Pulp&Paper, Smart ProcessIndustry.
- [Round Table Event] is an interactive event where we allocate 4 people randomly to a table to engage with each other. After 10 minute, the attendees are swapped randomly. The program features one such session on thursday, 21st in the afternoon.
ZOOM
The conference sessions will run within Zoom embedded within Whova. This will open directly within your browser and does not require a Zoom account or additional software.
When entering the room press Join Audio by Computer (if joining for the first time you may need to enable security settings). To reduce bandwidth and prevent background noise please mute/unmute yourself, raise your hand if you wish to ask a question verbally and turn-off your video unless wanting to ask a question or present.
Once within the Zoom room you can mute yourself, or share your screen (only in Meeting mode).
ASKING QUESTIONS IN WHOVA
The best way to ask questions is through the Whova Phone or Tablet app. Once in the app navigate to the session and click on Q&A, you can then ask your question directly to the speakers or paper presenter.
Alternatively, you can ask through the web-app in the window next to the live stream, however to see the updated list of questions you will need to refresh by toggling between Chat and Q&A.
