Constructive alignment (CA-2310)

The aim of the course is for the participant to be able to develop and quality assure courses within their own main field of study with the help of Constructive Alignment.

In the course, participants are using Constructive Alignment practically for the development of a new or an existing course from their own everyday life.

The courses CA and RRR can be taken at the same time. The development works in the courses may be related to each other, but they have to be assessed separately.

Course objectives

After the course, the participants should be able to:

  1. Together with others discuss how teaching can be planned, implemented and evaluated through constructive alignment within their field, with support from current higher education pedagogical research
  2. Formulate intended learning outcomes, forms of examination and teaching activities that are relevant in relation to qualifications in their own field.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge of relevant national and local regulations of higher education as well as knowledge of their own university’s resources to conduct an inclusive, fair and legal education.

Target Group
Teachers and doctoral students who wish to develop and document their competence in the field of basic pedagogical skills.
