Chat-GPT & AI: Academic Integration (AI-2610)

The course, “Chat-GPT & AI: Academic Integration,” is designed to provide participants with an insight into the world of AI-based tools, with a special focus on Chat-GPT. It begins with an introduction to AI, its history, and how it already affects our lives. The course then continues by exploring specific applications of AI. Finally, participants explore the ethical and philosophical considerations surrounding the use of AI in education and discuss its challenges.

Course objectives
  1. Understand and explain the basic principles and functions of AI-based tools in education.
  2. Apply AI tools and critically reflect about their benefits and drawbacks.
  3. Critically reflect on the opportunities, challenges, and consequences of AI in academic disciplines and the world at large.
  4. Reflect on strategies for integrating AI into teaching methods.
Course Literature

Course literature will be provided by the course leaders. Please note that most of the course material is in English, but that you as a participant are welcome to speak Swedish in discussions and/or submit assignments written in Swedish if you wish.

Target Group
The course is aimed at university staff, especially teachers from various departments, to support them in handling existing and upcoming challenges with AI tools. This includes the integration of these tools into their teaching and understanding both the technical and ethical aspects of such tools.
