Strengthening Suicide Prevention in Higher Education: Scalable Solutions for Lasting Impact
The ERE project seeks to strengthen suicide prevention in higher education by developing innovative, scalable online courses that enhance knowledge, skills, and attitudes among students and staff. With suicide causing significant personal and economic loss across the EU, and education recognized as a key preventive measure, ERE addresses critical gaps in academic preparedness. Through international collaboration, the project will conduct large-scale surveys, create scenario-based training, and implement a 12 Steps Safety Plan for Academia. It will deliver a tailored curriculum for four target groups, evaluate learning outcomes, and promote integration into university programs through strategic events and policy advocacy.
