HRS4R Focus Group – Competence and Career development 19 May

What do you as a researcher need in terms of structures for individual competence and career development? Is there any way we can improve and add things to the array of competence development available today? Is there a need for a structural change? With this focus group we aim to find concrete actions for improving competence and career development possibilities at Kau and making sure what we offer is what the researchers want and need. Please join us and contribute to making the competence and career development opportunities for researchers even better at the university.

Principle 28 Career Development from the HRS4R Charter & Code:
Employers should draw up a specific career development strategy for researchers at all stages of their career, regardless of their contractual situation, including for researchers on fixed-term contracts. It should include the availability of mentors involved in providing support and guidance for the personal and professional development of researchers, thus motivating them and contributing to reducing any insecurity in their professional future. All researchers should be made familiar with such provisions and arrangements.
