Swedish Industrial Graduate School on Cybersecurity
SIGS-CyberSec is a Swedish research school on cybersecurity. The research school comprises a consortium of computer science and informatics researchers from four Swedish universities: the Corporate Research School coordinator Karlstad University, Blekinge Institute of Technology, the Swedish Defence University and Örebro University.

For more than two decades, we have built up excellent and internationally leading research profiles and courses in different and complementary areas of specialization in cybersecurity. Together, and in co-production with eight leading Swedish industrial partners, we can offer a broad spectrum of research expertise and capabilities to develop a multifaceted and interdisciplinary cybersecurity research network and a business school that addresses the cybersecurity challenges faced by the industrial partners.
The universities and companies have a common ambition to strengthen the research competence and competence in cybersecurity in their organisations, as well as in Sweden as a whole, by developing and establishing an innovative, multifaceted and interdisciplinary research and education network for cybersecurity.
Within SIGS-CyberSec, the cybersecurity research area is structured in three research themes: ‘Decentralised Cybersecurity for future Networks’ (T1), ‘Cybersecurity, AI and Automation’ (T2), and ‘Information Security Management’ (T3). These themes will be addressed by the project’s 8 industrial Ph.D. students to promote state-of-the-art, and the new training programme will train the Ph.D. students specifically in these cybersecurity areas.
The research school is funded by the Swedish Knowledge Foundation.
