Teaching at University: Frameworks, rules and resources (RRR-2310)
University teachers practice their profession as government employees. All University activities must strictly adhere to legislation, regulations and local policies. At the same time, we are teachers in an organisation with enough resources to provide the support we need to do our job well. It is important to be well versed in the framework, rules and regulations that let us enjoy the confidence of students, colleagues, and the larger community.
The course introduces University teachers to their role as government employees through frameworks concerning university education, such as fundamental legislation, rules and local policies. Course participants receive an overview of international and national quality assurance protocol and their relation to University activity. Participants receive knowledge of and preparation for work with quality development in higher education.
The courses RRR and CA can be taken at the same time. The development works in the courses may be related to each other, but they have to be assessed separately.
