A roadmap for co-creation

One output from the CoSIE project is a dedicated Roadmap to co-creation in public services. However, there are no script to be transferred between cases of co-creation. It is not an instrumental process, a fixed recipe, to adopt by organisations that are interested to strengthen and empower beneficiaries in the different phases of co-creation. Nevertheless, in the project we have identified important elements for any co-creator to reflect upon. Experience has taught us that co-creation is best viewed as a practice, through which different, varied processes emerge. We distinguish between three aspects:

• The System; How co-creation relates to the broader ‘system’ of service delivery
• An Ethical Compass; Co-creation is a value-based practice that informs how you work with people
• Catalysts; Sometimes getting started is the hardest part – catalysts support co-creation activities to begin to grow-
