The project meeting in Athens was divided into two venues. The firs day we met in Vrilissia town hall. We had extensive discussions on the content of the e-learning modules, how the recorded films discussing theoretical aspects of sustainable mobility could look like. We will use experts within the project as well as external experts. From Karlstad University we will invite two distinguish professors, both internationally leading researchers on behavioral change and sustainable mobility, in conversations on three main items. These three items was identified in the Learning and Training meeting as the most important for achieving a behavioral change. These are, how to motivate for a behavioral change; infrastructural investments and the general need of political support and policies in place. Additional, we also will record a conversation with a distinguish researcher from Karlstad University on the question why it is important to engage in sustainability and the need to adapt to climate change. Ecocity will produce a series of shorter lectures on behavioral change and informal learning, and an interview with an Greek expert on bicycle promotion. We will also try to apply theory into practice in this module. This will be done by letting all partners answer a set of Q&A on a PowerPoint presentation that explain how partner organizations have dealt with these issues.
The second module, Challenges and Solutions, will include partner organization’s needs, defined in the Transit-survey, and illustrate the best practices that our partner organizations have identified.
The second day, we met in Egaleo Town Hall. To this meeting several stakeholders where invited, which made the discussions more interesting and vivid. Unfortunately, we are not in line with our planned schedule which have effect on the planning for multiplier events. We discussed how we best could manage to complete multiplier events for the benefit of the project and include project results accordingly.
