Karlstad meeting

In Karlstad the university and the municipality hosted our Transit partners for two days. We further evaluated the results from the surveys and discussed the most effective practices. Additional, we defined the framework of the e-Learning modules and identify some of the content. In addition, we developed a draft framework of the Toolbox, monitored the project implementation and the achieved results and shared and evaluated dissemination activities carried out locally.

We found it not possible to stick with our initial idea in the project, that was to identify best practices and test them in real life to evaluate their relevance. Different constraints in implementing the project, as change of partners, late start and the pandemic, make this idea obsolete. Instead, the project aim to identify good practice and describe them in detail for the students in the e-Learning modules. The testing will take place by the e-Learning users accordingly.

In the Karlstad meeting we summarized the outcomes from the Learning and Training meeting held in June.  Particularly, we reflected on learning that we found as most important to bring in to the discussions on the e-learning platforms. Following these discussions, we further elaborated on the framework and content of the e-learning modules. Starting from definitions of the learning objectives we focused on how to reach our target groups, civil servants and associations interested in sustainable mobility. The learning objectives for the modules was co-created as we wanted them to be relevant and practical. Potential learning activities and tools we found interesting was a series of informative short videos, illustrative texts and pictures that may make the modules attractive and fun to engage in.

The theoretical e-learning module will contain more general aspects of sustainable mobility, including theory of behavioral change, how to handle “wicked problems” in political organisations, and issues of how to evaluate sustainable mobility projects. The second e-learning module will be divided into challenges (from the Transit-survey) and potential solutions (from the good practices) with illustrations from the partner organisations.
