Jenny Moon: Course objectives, requirements and assessment criteria

Jenny Moon’s (Exeter University) texts on course objectives, assessment criteria and other closely related issues are almost classic and appear in many higher education pedagogical contexts.

She reason systematically, rigorously, but also from a practitioner’s perspective, on how to formulate course objectives, requirements and assessment criteria in university education.

Her text from 2004 is probably the most widespread, but you also get tips below about a slightly later version from 2006 which, among other things, also contains systematized collections of useful verbs for different kinds of course objectives.

At the end of the below list is a book chapter (shorter than the other two texts) with similar content. The book is available as an e-book in the university library.
