The law on the Accessibility of Digital Public Services (DOS law) stipulates that all films and videos used in the university’s education must be subtitled. You can get support to fulfill this requirement.
Subtitling refers to the text at the bottom of the screen, transcribing what is said in the film. The requirement is not about translating into different languages. It is for making it easier for people with hearing disabilities to follow the speech in a video by reading subtitles in the language that the speaker uses.
All (almost) moving images that the university uses in its activities must be provided with subtitles.
As a teacher, you order subtitles from Support & Service, the Translation unit. What types of films and videos that should be subtitled, the steps of the process up to having the video published with subtitles, etc., are described on the page Subtitling.
